Not only will you have a great time, but you can return home with a bounty of fresh and delicious fish to impress your friends and family.

Depending on the time of year, you can expect to catch a variety of fish including tuna, dorado, yellowtail, marlin, barracuda, calico bass, mako shark, thresher shark, halibut, rock cod, and lingcod.

Captain Clowers Charters offers several different trip lengths to accommodate your busy schedule. What to Bring on Trips

  • California fishing license or Mexican fishing license depending on what waters we are fishing
  • Passport if fishing inside the 12 mile zone in Mexican waters – please contact Captain Clowers ahead of your trip to confirm license and passport situation
  • Food and drinks, beer is ok as long as its in a can – no hard liquor
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses (polarized recommended)
  • Rubber boots, sandals or old shoes as the deck can get bloody and wet
  • Camera
  • Big ice chest or trash bags for your fish after we get back to the dock

Fish Cleaning Options

  1. The Captain and/or crew will fillet your catch for you and put it in ziploc bags on the ride home from the fishing grounds
  2. You can also make arrangements to get your fish processed and shipped back home. We recommend Five Star Fish Processing. You will need to make these arrangements with the processor in advance and be able to get your fish from the dock to the processor. Properly processed fish can be enjoyed all year if taken care of.
