Offshore fish report for June 2019
Things are heating up on the offshore fishing ,in the last two weeks the fish have moved into one day range …. bluefin from 40 to 90 lbs have been biting in a variety of ways , we have been getting them on fly lined sardeans on 50 lb with 50-60 pound top shot also on sinker rigs colt snipers and in the afternoon when they are foaming on poppers pretty epic fishing when it all comes together .. along with that the yellowtail are showing up on kelps and at the islands . We are using fly lined sardeans on 30 lb in both areas . Also the island yellowtail are coming on trolled rapallas in the bonita and Blk purple colors on 50 lb at islands you need heavy line to get your fish in due to the sea lions .. the weather had been overcast with real light wind . Surface water temps have been pretty steady at 63-64 degrees .. also I got report from a buddy yesterday they had 9 yellowfin writhing 30 miles of Point Loma … it’s go time it’s going to be another magical season … it’s time to get on the calendar to be apart of this fantastic fishing .
